Denise Basch, PA-C, MMS

For the past 18 years Denise practiced primarily in a hospital based setting, including internal medicine, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery and heart/lung transplant programs. In search of more holistic options, she began extensive self study in integrative and alternative medicine. This lead to her enthusiasm and commitment to becoming a Functional Medicine practitioner, and being able to utilize her experience in allopathic medicine and incorporate them to create the potential to heal patients utilizing a more comprehensive approach and individualized care.

New to the Boulder area, Denise is excited to be able to fulfill her longterm dream of living near the mountains in Colorado. She enjoys winter sports, biking and spending time with her dog, Bailey.
Gae Russo

I have always been passionate about nutrition and fitness and spent many years working in a physical therapy office and at an athletic club where I learned the latest and greatest information on health. My journey into alternative medicine began a few years ago when I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. I was surprised when I became ill because I had faithfully followed all the advice from the experts. Traditional doctors tried to help me, but finally said there was nothing more they could do for me. This is when I discovered functional medicine and all that it had to offer. It has turned my life around!
As the office assistant at the Healing Collective, I strive to create a positive, nurturing, and happy environment. I will answer your questions about the practice, help you set up appointments and promote efficiency in the office to respect you and your time.
When I’m not at the office, I enjoy playing African drums and practicing Tai Chi.

Linh Nguyen

Linh is currently applying to medical school and joins the Healing Collective as a medical assistant. Recently graduated from Regis University in 2017, she is interested in holistic medicine and the importance of care for the whole person. In the future, Linh wants to practice Family Medicine and work with local and global underserved communities—primarily in Southeast Asia, where she is born. As she continues to explore medicine, she is excited to integrate Functional Medicine into her journey.

Outside of the office, Linh is an avid backpacker and traveler. In December of 2017, she got engaged at an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand. At home, she is a movie buff, a musical theatre enthusiast, and an avid fan of milk stouts.
